Science/Health Policy

CNS Foundation seeks motivated and enthusiastic individuals to assist in its scientific research and health policy efforts. The candidate should have a strong background (and/or major) in science and/or health policy. Ideally, the candidate will be pursuing a career in these fields. We recently held our annual scientific conference with some of the world’s leading scientists in the field of pediatric neurology, and there is much work to be done to help update and draft scientific and health policy-related initiatives stemming from that meeting.  Primarily project-based, this position offers opportunities for creativity and innovation.

Duties will include:

  • Drafting and preparing scientific and health policy materials
  • Outreach to scientists and organizations
  • Conducting scientific and policy research
  • Drafting science updates for social media pages, including website, Facebook, twitter
  • Drafting correspondence
  • Connecting with relevant blogs, websites and other new media sites
  • Maintaining our disease database and glossary of terms
  • Assisting with general administrative duties

Communications/Social Media

CNS Foundation seeks motivated and enthusiastic individuals to assist in its communications, development and outreach efforts.  Ideally, the candidate will be pursuing a career in the nonprofit or communications.  This is a great fit for someone familiar with a professional environment and seeking responsibility and opportunities for professional growth.

Duties will include:

  • Drafting and preparing web content
  • Creating marketing materials and press releases
  • Maintaining CNS’ social media pages, including website, Facebook, twitter
  • Drafting correspondence
  • Connecting with relevant blogs, websites and other new media sites
  • Maintaining database
  • Preparing and executing mailings
  • Assisting with general administrative duties
  • Conducting prospect and market research

Administrative/Office Work

CNS Foundation seeks motivated and enthusiastic individuals to assist in its everyday operations.  Ideally, the candidate will be interested in the nonprofit or communications industries. This is a great fit for someone attempting to gain their first professional experience in a supportive environment. 

Duties will include:

  • General administrative tasks (filing, copying, organizing)
  • Drafting correspondence
  • Conducting prospect and market research
  • Drafting social media materials ( for website, facebook, twitter)
  • Connecting with relevant blogs, websites and other new media sites
  • Maintaining internal database
  • Preparing and executing mailings
